1,000 Pound Club (updated 12-22-08)

My new weight lifting goal is to be a member of the 1,000 pound club. This means my total weight for Bench Press + Squat + Deadlift has to be equal to or greater than 1,000 pounds. I'm currently around 860 collectively . I have a long way to go with my Squats and Deadlifts.

If I reach or get close to my goal I will post a video of my 1RM's (1 Repetition Max)

(I know I will not get there by doing weighted pull-ups.)


Current Weight = 172

• Current Bench = 280 (mostly trained)
• Current Deadlift = 385 (training)
• Current Squat = 305 (training)
• Total = 970

Goal Weight = 175

• Goal Bench = 300
• Goal Deadlift = 405

TiVo and Netflix

I'm very excited that Tivo has teamed up with Netflix. A portion of Netflix's movies are now available for instant viewing through TiVo's HD boxes. I've watched several streaming movies with my FREE trial membership and will purchase Netflix if I don't get it as a Christmas present. The quality is really good on most movies. I even got a few in HD.

I love documentaries and have watched several already. And now I'm going to rate the ones I've seen.

A 

Surfwise - A documentary about a crazy father who raises his kids in a camper, makes them surf, and doesn't let them go to school. 

B+

Super High Me - A documentary about a comedian/stoner who is sober for 30 consecutive days and then is high for 30 consecutive days. Doug Benson is really funny in this movie. He's a likable guy and an overall excellent representative for the stoner community.

Carrie and I watched Home Alone tonight. I think its the classic Christmas movie for kids our age.

We were bored and found the house it was filmed in.

First Christmas Together

Congratulations, us. Carrie and I have been married for 6 months today. Its weird, on one hand it feels like we just got married yesterday and on the other it feels like we've been maried for years (in a good way, of course).

This year the whole family will be in Macon for Christmas. Its gonna be a full house (mom, dad, granny, christian, elisa, torin, raine, allison, brian, connor, cats?, me, carrie, kitty, precious, and callie) It should be very memorable.

I've definitely been in the Christmas spirit lately. The Christmas scented candle and carols playing in iTunes makes for a nice ambiance. Also, Carrie and I decided to get a Christmas tree. We got one of those fancy plastic trees with the lights already installed! Lowes has all holiday decorations 50% off and we had a gift card. The stars were aligned.

These photos were taken with my iPhone. It takes surprisingly good pictures as long as you have a steady hand.

Torin (nephew)

Christian and Elisa were in Stone Mountain for Thanksgiving so Carrie got to meet Torin for the first time. I took a picture with my iPhone but his mouth was open and this one is more flattering. He is adorable.
